I started programming when I was thirteen, hardly beyond the typical you-know-who from next door. But I am much more than just a programmer. Quite recently, I started writing a book -- mainly because my father suggested that I should -- in order that the messages I wished to convey would influence and, perhaps most importantly, get people thinking.
Apparently, the best way to convey a message is through fictional works. Who knew, right? But I think that anything can convey a message, regardless of how subtle. But ultimately, the reason I went ahead to write a book was because I have a passion for storytelling. And I knew the best way to tell a story is first by practising my writing skills. How best to do that? By writing a novel, of course.
And so, Age of Atlantis is born. This novel is being written first, and then a video game later. In the meantime, I am continually learning new ways and means to program and develop video games. I also intend to create some small games, in the hope that it will lead to greater, more feature-rich games.
I suspect by now you're concerned that the stories might not be well-developed, that they may be the same old boring cliché Hollywood movies we all know and "love". But I can assure you that Age of Atlantis has already been in writing for a little over a year. The underlying franchise has been planned over the course of the last three years, making sure that the stories I wish to share with you are not only coherent, but makes sense, is understandable, is compelling, and continues to surprise. Even now, I make subtle changes to future plans as I continue writing Age of Atlantis, as new and improved images are channeled to my mind.
That being said it is a long trek, but the challenge to create an engorging reality with strange worlds to explore, crystalline entities sprawling the universe in quantity, consciousness of such great magnitude no living person can bear to imagine, is what fascinates and encourages me to make it a universe worthy of your attention.
I would be grateful if you were here until the end, when I dearly hope that the messages I have conveyed to you have brought a new meaning to your life. I even appreciate that you have read this far, and by this I can presume that you are already prepared to witness what I have to show and tell you.
Thank you for taking your time in reading this, and I hope you enjoy the games I create for you.
